Sandwich launches an artists support fund based on reciprocity. While its financial help may be modest, the Double Decker Fund is meant to strengthen our trust in each other and our belief that art is still valuable during these times.
We are reviving the Sandwich SHOP with a new series of accessories created during and for this uncertain situation. They are limited edition, designed and produced by the Sandwich team and modestly priced. New models are coming out regularly.
You buy an accessory for you or your loved ones, to remind yourself that there are still plenty of beautiful things to look forward to. With 80% of the profits we buy artworks from local artists, thus supporting each other at a time when we need it most. We encourage others to do the same. We encourage collectors to support their favorite artists by buying now, and we encourage those lucky artists that are able to sell now to buy from their colleagues.
It's not an original idea. We don't want it to be. We were inspired by others doing the same and we hope it gets further replicated.

Sandwich lansează un fond de sprijin pentru artiști bazat pe reciprocitate. Ajutorul financiar pe care îl oferă poate fi modest, însă fondul Double Decker e menit să consolideze încrederea reciprocă și convingerea că arta este în continuare valoroasă și în aceste timpuri.
Revitalizăm Sandwich SHOP cu o serie de accesorii create pentru și în timpul acestei perioade incerte. Sunt obiecte în ediții limitate, concepute și produse de echipa Sandwich, având prețuri modeste. Noi modele vor fi lansate în mod constant.
Voi cumpărați pentru voi sau cei dragi un accesoriu pentru a vă aminti că sunt încă multe lucruri frumoase pentru care să ne bucurăm. Noi, cu 80% din profit, cumpărăm lucrări ale artiștilor locali, sprijinindu-ne astfel reciproc într-un moment în care chiar avem nevoie de asta.
Îi încurajăm și pe alții să facă același lucru. Îi încurajăm pe colecționari să-și sprijine artiștii preferați, cumpărând acum, și încurajăm acei artiști norocoși care pot vinde lucrări în perioada asta să cumpere de la colegii lor.
Nu e o idee originală și nici nu vrem să fie. Am fost inspirați de alții care fac la fel și sperăm că ideea va fi preluată mai departe.
