sandwich opens the aestival season with POOL PARTY, an active installation by Daniela Pălimariu.
Following one of the main directions explored by the artist, POOL PARTY creates a common and accessible space that can accommodate any heterogeneous group of people. The space is clear enough about the way it should be used so that it doesn't create confusion, but it is not as scripted as to become constrictive. Unlike some of the previous projects, not only physical space is being shared now, but also a dynamic element – water. The relationships created among participants are, thus, all the more important.
The project is created specifically for sandwich and inspired by its apparently constrictive dimensions. Although an installation of generous proportions, it is built in such a way as to not intimidate or be overwhelming to its visitors in any way.
POOL PARTY is open all summer long and offers an excuse-space for various public and private events.
