The screens that were used in this work were meant to be used as fragments in the coat of arms of Socialist Romania, depending on the number of colors for the final image. That is why there is a screen with only the derricks, another one with the wheat or with the fir tree cluster. We decided that we don't want to completely remake the original coat of arms, therefore each element became a single image.
Once symbols of the glorified forests across the country, the tiny, isolated fir tree cluster speaks, unfortunately, of a contemporary situation, in a more and more irresponsibly (and irreparably) deforested Romania. On the right side, the multicolored wheat ears sanguinely protect the last standing derrick.
